IncGamers Podcast #185

I’ve just realised that the original Gabriel Knight looks like Conan O’Brien.

A podcast twosome this week, as myself and Tim trawl through seven days of PC frame-rate, port and version news. We’ve had the Assassin’s Creed: Unity devs going a bit mental and deciding 30fps is superior to 60fps for their game, The Evil Within locking itself at 30fps (though this can be sorted out) and we’ve heard everything bad about Final Fantasy XIII.

That’s actually not all, as PC editions of Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition and Ryse have passed by the podcast’s critical eyes too.

Amid all this oddly PC-specific technical stuff, there’s been the total non-surprise announcement of Assassin’s Creed: Rogue (that one won’t be better at 30fps either,) and a whole lot of PC-relevant Dragon Age: Inquisition information.

This week, I’ve been both hacking and slashing through Ryse. Turns out Roman-era Scotland was just like Mordor. Tim and I have also been playing the Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Father remake, so we have a pretty lengthy chat about that as well.
