THQ Outlines Big Plans For Fiscal 2012

THQ CEO and president Brian Farrell has explained that fiscal 2012 “looks like a very solid year.”Speaking in last night’s THQ earnings call, Farrell explained THQ’s thoughts on each fiscal year, from 2010 through 2012.“Fiscal 10 would be the turnaround year, fiscal 11 would be the rebuilding year where we make significant progress, but then fiscal 12, just based on our product flow, particularly adding a third core game – Saints Row, Warhammer 40,000 and Darksiders…””With three core games and growth in our kids, family and casual business, growth in the fighting business, and we’ll see our digital business ramp in 12,” said Farrell.

THQ has confirmed it will publish Blood Bowl which is set to launch on 18 September.Based on the Games Workshop tabletop game (American football with Orcs and violence), the game will feature many of the different Warhammer armies available in the fantasy world.It will sport two different game modes with a turn based version taken directly from the table top game, or a fast paced real time mode.Blood Bowl will launch on the PC, DS, and PSP on 18 September.
