Firaxis developing new XCOM strategy title

Today there’s some great news for fans of the original games as 2K and Firaxis announce the development of XCOM: Enemy Unknown which will feature an all-new invasion story. As you may know, Firaxis have worked on Sid Meier’s Civilization series so there’s some pedigree behind the development team as they set to revive the classic strategic elements of the original series which debuted back in 1993.

Steam: LucasArts Adventures, Strategy Games Cheap

Steam’s Midweek Madness sale has dropped the price of the LucasArts Adventure Pack, along with hardcore strategy titles Europa Universalis III Complete and Hearts of Iron III.The LucasArts Adventure Pack, containing Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Loom, and The Dig, is currently 50 per cent off, dropping to £3.49 GBP.Europa Universalis III Complete (containing the expansions In Nomine and Napoleon’s Ambition) is down to £12.49 GBP, as is Hearts of Iron III, and the two can also be picked up in one bundle for £24.98 GBP.The LucasArts Adventure Pack contains a load of goodness along with Fate of Atlantis, which is one of the best adventure games of all time, so that’s worth a purchase if you like a bit of point-and-clicking.
