Marvel MMO, Diablo Style, Dave Brevik

Looks pretty interesting. I really liked X-Men Legends 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance, I thought the Diablo combat style was great for superhero style games. My main beef is the F2P model. They're being tight lipped on what you have to pay for, but I would guess you won't be able to play as Spider-man or Hulk for free, League of Legends style. I guess that means Dazzler and Starfox will be super popular, eh?

Almost certain that I'll try this, particularly if it can run on Linux.

I'm very pro-F2P, but I agree that the implementation is what will make or break their efforts.

Depends; if you have to pay for advanced forms of some characters then that would encourage the use of less popular ones that have their full potential right off the bat, but if you have to pay for <any> "known" character use then I'd agree that you'll be stuck with suck.

Unless they allow you to generate your own powers, ala Champions?

May be a different publishing genus, but I always loved X-men's NightCrawler despite his "weak" powers...
