Been playing EQ2 Extended for a couple weeks now. Totally sucked in. Paid for Gold $14.99/mo. Or you can pay for Silver which is a one time fee of $15 I believe. But, if you want, you can just download the client and stick with Bronze (Totally Free) The free client is the best free version of any game I've played yet. I highly recommend it for those needing their MMO fix and not wanting to pay.

Re: EQ2 Extended
It is a great MMO indeed but the engine is horribly inefficient. Turn the settings to max and watch a seven year old game bring any new gaming rig to its knees. Ultimately that was the reason I quit.

Re: EQ2 Extended
Hmmm My rig is about 2 years old and I run it on Ultimate with no issues whatsoever.

Re: EQ2 Extended
I started the client download, but on halfway realized that when I want to pvp I'd be seriously underdog with the free option. So I downloaded Aika instead and was happy.

Re: EQ2 Extended
AikaOnline. At first it was US only, but now available here on Europe as well. Large scale pvp apparently, I'm only lvl20 so haven't been part to that yet.

Re: EQ2 Extended
Bah...not a fan that all the new MMOs that are coming out are so largely PvP Based :( Im not saying PvP is bad, because it has its Ups for sure, but I wish there was an equal amount of PvE content for those of us who prefer that over PvP :P
