Yes but Morrowind felt MUCH bigger.
I don't know where they get the idea it was bigger. It sure as heck felt smaller.
The only good parts of Oblivion compared to Morrowind were the mechanics and the graphics.
1. Radiant AI is a step in the right direction.
2. Combat feels better in oblivion
3. Graphics are better
4. Lots of small things like traps in dungeons.
Everything else was better in Morrowind.
I hate the consolization of every game series that's worth playing. But, I accept I'm a minority.

Re: Morrowind has cured my D2 addiction!
i loved morrowind. and elder scrolls oblivian too.
spent countless hours playing those games
i agree that morrowind felt larger than oblivian
my one complaint about the games was the way they scaled everything
you can make level 60 and return to the starting area, and every
creature or bandit will now be decked out in the best gear in the game,
and be just as hard to kill as when you fought them at level 2
i never found that sense of power you should expect to feel

Re: Morrowind has cured my D2 addiction!
Well, I finally got my Oblivion working again. I'm such a graphics whore.
Anyways, there are always mods to stop the enemies from scaling with you.

Re: Morrowind has cured my D2 addiction!
There's a rumor of Elder Scrolls V which motivates me a little to play Morrowind again.

Re: Morrowind has cured my D2 addiction!
Anyways, my video card kinda fried, so I'm back to my old computer with an awesome (not) integrated GPU. So I'm kinda stuck on Morrowind right now. Any good mods you guys want to suggest?

(Did not read a single post in this thread before posting myself)
I do own Morrowing and it's expansions but it's always hard to play a game when it has a much more modern sequel.

Re: Morrowind has cured my D2 addiction!
Morrowind has some brilliant mods.
Off the top of my head:
Real Signposts
Balmora Tower
Morrowind Comes alive
Water Life
Where are all the birds going?
Goldenrod (or something, it adds a town named goldensomething)
Tamriel Rebuilt 1 and 2
Animal Realism (But, I often make my own mod to reduce suicidal animals) or Passive Healthy Wildlife
Suran Underground
Better Books
Book rotate
Tons and tons of graphical mods - I use Quarls and Darknut's
The lighting mod
Interior weather
Illuminated Windows
Super Adventurers (Which contains better bodies, heads, all bethesda mods, and tons of gameplay tweaks)
Unofficial Morrowind Patch
There's a lot more, but I'm at work. Just run through the list at planet elder scrolls and Thelys'.
There's a graphical enhacer/scripting support system I use also that opens tons of mods, such as trees and grass that move in the wind, real shader 2.0 water, and a lot of other effects.
I also tweak the ini file to enable decent quadratic lighting.
If you're willing to put in the time, you can make Morrowind look extremely good for a game that came out almost a decade ago.
