What about Dungeons and Dragons Online? It's free to download and free to play.

I tried DDO but for some reason didn't play it. LOTRO still installed but more like SP (at least up till lvl15) but probably due the US server.

Age of Conan, thanks to this site's ads, on the other hand feels really good. Brings back memories of Moonstone and Amiga500. Leveling is fast just by hacking enemies and thanks to combat system and gore not that boring.

Champions Online recently went f2p. Mad amounts of customization.
If you want to play a super hero MMO and don't want to drop cash on DCU, it's not a bad time sink.

warhammer online has an unlimited free trial

your limited to level 1-10 I think, but you can play forever

warhammer does have plenty of problems at the later levels, but at level 10 the PvP is really quite fun

This almost makes me want to make big fat orc again and start to bully opposing dwarf healers But busy with Requiem Memento Mori atm and so far so good there.
