The KESPA judges asking for a rematch would have stirred up way more hubbub, in my opinion. Not only from the JD fans, but from the fans who believe in a fair match as well.
Like you said, it was a Terran favoured map, and JD managed to bring himself to that sizable of an advantage, with such an insane BO (3 hatch before pool, what??) that really set his econ and macro capabilities on maximum. If the rematch were to happen, then I'd give Flash the game, easily. The series was pretty much his to win, but after that craziness in game 3, you can't say that it didn't affect Flash's play in game 4.
The power outage didn't help JD win MSL, but is sure as hell didn't hurt.

Re: Starcraft progaming
Wait, what? Do they have Starcraft on TV or something?
Just looked it up, and they do! When people talk about SC being their national sport, I thought it was like a joke, lol!
As far as playing myself goes... I fail hard at any RTS game, so no starcraft for me.

It is kind of hard to believe that e-sports is as big in Korea as some athletic sports, and draws just the same amount of an audience when being played live.

Re: Starcraft progaming
It's not that hard to believe, e-sports are alot more exciting than any "real" sports.

You try moving at 350-400 APM for an hour straight, if that does not count as physical exertion, then you must be p hardcore bro.

Re: Starcraft progaming
You implying i dont consider it a sport? I said it's not what's traditionally considered a sport. Most people wouldn't say pro gaming is a sport.
That's not necessarily my opinion though
