My fave is Katamari Damacy's theme (Katamari on the Rocks, the original ver) hands down. This song makes me so dang happy xD

I always enjoy Diablo 1's Tristram theme.

Katamari does have some great (and strange) tunes too.

Aye, I do like D1's trist theme too, that's my second fave. It really fits the game. I also like how it wasn't so epic. I mean, you're walking around town, there's nothing exactly epic about that.

Koji Kondo is a genius. His collaborations with other people aren't too bad either, as shown by Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess.

Anything by Jeremy Soule is very good. Guild Wars, Dungeon Siege, Icewind Dale, etc.

The Guild Wars intro brings back loads of memories :')

For original songs I like Katamari's absurd stylings and the booming musical propaganda of Freedom Fighters. (Very underrated game, by the way. I highly recommend it!)
For compilation soundtracks my favorite is Burnout 3. The music matches the gameplay so well it is scary. (I discounted rhythm games because they are, after all, focused on the music.)
