OK I am torn on this whole VR thing as the months have gone on and I’m now getting less convinced by the whole concept the more I read and see of the current kit. It’s all looking a little 1990s VR buzz again and we all know how that ended. Is anyone else feeling the same way? Become more convinced or less convinced since the start of the year?

How we’re not past these stages yet, boggles. I’ll get onboard when it stops feeling so much clunkier than some of the elegant visions of VR back in the 1980s.

But they were just visions sadly. When the Oculus DK2 arrives here I’ll be taking a look.

    Nah.

PC gaming technology fads come and go. Do I really need to be that immersed in Bioware’s next blue alien sexcapade game? Not really….

I think it’s too early to see if it’s a fad but there’s been so many PC gaming fads in the past decade it’s still hard to tell how this will pan out. Price is a major factor which I think will be the barrier to success.
