Prince of Persia Sands of Time Movies

This evening we have a collection of seven new movies for Ubi Soft's awesome looking action title Prince of Persia: Sands of time. In these new movies you can see the Prince's five special powers in action.
As he heads into battle with his father the King, the Prince of Persia expects a traditional clash of armies - he seeks the opportunity to put his years of training and practice to the test, to demonstrate his prowess and to affirm his rightful place within the pantheon of royalty. However, although he is self-assured and confident, well-prepared to triumph, he is also untested and cocky, easily manipulated by the evil schemes of a duplicitous Vizier. And in being tricked, the Prince unwittingly, but undeniably, forever alters his destiny - and himself. For he is no longer engaged in a mere earthly battle - he must now contend with The Sands of Time: it is the most powerful magic ever released, with the chilling ability to transform everything it touches into a manifestation of pure evil. Humbled by his mistake and desperate to restore peace and balance, the Prince embarks on an epic quest to recapture the Sands, and to return them to the Hourglass from which he set them free. Luckily, he quickly discovers a valuable tool which will aid him in his efforts - the Dagger. Coveted by the Vizier for its ability to control the Sands, the Dagger enables the Prince to retrieve the Sands from enemy bodies and, in the process, gain a host of powers over time itself that offer the only hope of success. If the Prince manages to collect enough Sand, he can execute five different powers - all integrated into the game in real-time and rendered completely fluid by the development team, using the Jade engine:
  • THE POWER OF REVIVAL: Face danger with the ability to journey back in time (Rewind)
  • Explore and experiment without the fear (and annoyance) of sudden death - with enough Sand, players can rewind after making a wrong move, and continue playing (with the expertise that only a mistake can bring)
  • THE POWER OF DELAY: Slow the passing of time (Slow Motion)
  • Bullet-time in Persia - check out the prowess of the Prince while vanquishing enemies in slow motion
  • THE POWER OF RESTRAINT: Freeze enemies in time while you remain moving (Freeze)
  • Slow down the opposition and take advantage of delayed response time to clear a particularly hairy situation
  • THE POWER OF HASTE: Accelerate the passing of time and slash enemies at the speed of light (Fast Forward)
  • Get medieval on some enemy ass - they stay at regular speed while the Prince gets caffeinated
  • THE POWER OF DESTINY: Behold startling visions of the future (Visions)
  • See what the Palace holds and get advance notice of upcoming twists and turns - be prepared
