Ubi Soft Titles Go PS2 Exclusive

Ubi Soft has announced that two of their top future titles, Prince of Persia The Sands of Time and Beyond Good & Evil, will be console exclusive to PS2 in all PAL territories. Is this a shame? Well yes, we would have loved to see both these titles on pother platforms on higher spec hardware than the PS2. Let's hope we do see these appear eventuallyon the Xbox or PX her ein Europe.
"Both these games uniquely showcase the fun of PlayStation 2 gaming," commented Alain Corre, Managing Director for Europe, Asia Pacific and South America, Ubi Soft Entertainment. "Following their enthusiastic reception at E3, there is already great consumer excitement building in anticipation of the launch of these exclusive PlayStation 2 games. We'll be putting unprecedented marketing support behind both these titles and predict great sales success during Christmas 2003."

David Patton, Vice President of Marketing at SCEE commented "We welcome Ubi Soft's decision to publish Prince of Persia and Beyond Good and Evil exclusively on PlayStation 2 during 2003. These games set new standards in console gaming and undoubtedly will broaden the appeal of PlayStation to new audiences."
