Activision has announced an agreement securing the rights to the console and PC title The Movies from the one and only Peter Molyneux and Lionhead Studios. The deal is worldwide and Activision also have the option to publish sequels and add-on products for the title.

It's more God game action from the Lionhead team as gamers will have chance to run their own movie studio right from the 1920s to present day and beyond. Like most of God games you will be in complete control and you'll have to choose everything from the scripts to the actors who will star in your productions. On the news, Larry Goldberg, executive vice president of Activision Worldwide Studios stated:

"Peter is undoubtedly one of the most talented video game designers in the world, and Lionhead is one of the very few development studios with the knowledge and resources to develop a game that will allow players to fulfill the fantasy of building a movie empire. We are incredibly excited to have entered into this long-term partnership and are confident that this alliance will result in one of the most innovative and anticipated games of the next few years."
