Persona 4 Arena gets summer US release

Atlus USA is doing what it so often does best and bringing Persona 4: The Ultimate In Mayonaka Arena to Xbox 360 and PS3 in the US. The release title will be shortened somewhat to just Persona 4: Arena.

These console versions will reportedly bring a couple of additions to the Japanese arcade release, namely a "full story mode" and online multiplayer. Persona 4: Arena is, believe it or not, a 2D brawler based on the Persona series. Arc System Works (BlazBlue) is handling development duties.

According to Atlus, the game "looks and feels like nothing else out there. Each fighter has attacks tied to their Persona, their summoned inner strength, adding to the depth and complexity". So there you go.

Persona 4: Arena will arrive in the US this summer, for 360 and PS3.
