Valve will not reveal half-baked games

Gabe NewellThe demand for Half-Life 3 shows no signs of settling down. On the other hand, Valve has shown no interest in letting on more information at this point.

Valve's Gabe Newell know all about the friction that that can cause, saying that the company is "acutely aware of how much we annoy our fans" due to the long waits between developments.

"It's pretty frustrating to us when we put them into that situation. We try to go as fast as we can and we try to pick the things that we think are going to be most valuable to our customers".

However, Newell goes on to explain that the company has a lot of its plate trying to keep fans of all its games happy and that they work to make sure they don't succumb to "terminal sequelitis."

Valve apparently want to be careful not to get people's hopes up with an announcement and then possible have to disappoint them later, like it did with Half-Life 2 and the delays it suffered.

Instead, Newell says that their going "in the other direction and saying 'okay, well let's have things a little more baked before we [reveal it]'".
