Alan Wake has made Remedy 'very excited about PC'

Alan WakeAlan Wake's release on Steam last week has, in 48 hours, brought in enough cash to cover the game's development and marketing expenses.

Remedy's EVP Aki Jarvilehto has not yet provided the exact numbers, but said that the game's success has made him "very excited about PC."

He added that: "We are very happy with the sales and hitting number one on Steam at launch was nothing short of amazing."

Alan Wake has been available on Xbox 360 for almost two years, the PC edition was released on 16 February. At the time of the original launch, Remedy said that no PC version was planned. I guess they changed their mind.

The downloadable Alan Wake's American Nightmare is due to be released on Xbox Live Arcade this week.
