If you've browsed Apple's App Store recently, you may have stumbled across an app claiming to be the GameBoy classic Pokemon Yellow.
Unfortunately, it's all a scam and we recommend that you don't waste your money trying to download it. The app is not from Nintendo and it's not officially licensed.
The app is from The House of Anime and Daniel Burford (who?), the same people behind knock-off version of Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh apps. Digimon is owned by Bandai, Yu-Gi-Oh by Konami, so throw Pokemon into the mix and that's three major publishers that are having their intellectual property screwed.
User reviews for the Pokemon Yellow app claim that the app doesn't work, and people are asking for their money back. Lawsuits are threatened.
