Final Gears of War 3 map pack detailed

Gears of War 3The final map pack under the Gears of War 3 'Season Pass' umbrella will be titled 'Forces of Nature' and released on 27 March. That name wasn't just chosen at random; it represents a thematic overtone of environmental destruction by natural forces.

Three new maps (Aftermath, Artillery, and Cove) will be included, alongside remakes of Jacinto and Raven Down. In Aftermath, you'll have to deal with the debris left by a tsunami. Artillary features lighting storms and a tornado, while Cove will just chuck a thick layer of fog in your face.

Weather conditions have been added to the remakes too. Raven Down now has a heavy snowstorm, and Jacinto will throw periodic rain and flooding at you.

Four new character models and five weapon skins (plus two unlockable weapon skins) are promised, plus four 'Elemental Cleaver' weapons. These include the 'snow cleaver' which can stun enemies (you can supply your own "chill out!" one-liner here).

If you want to buy the DLC as a stand-alone, it'll cost you $10 USD (800 MS Points).
