Sony closing down its PSP digital comic service

Sony has today annouched that it will be closing the door on its PSP digital comic download service. The exact date for the closure has yet to be confirmed, but it will come at some point in September this year.

The service has not been updated since last year, which spelled doom from that moment onwards. 

If you've already purchased comics through the service, you've got until the end of the year to download them. After that, they will be deleted from the system forever. You are recommened to download and back up your comic book purchases as soon as possible.

Those users who have already purchased comics can continue to redownload their collection until the end of the year, at which point this option will also become unavailable. Sony suggested these people should back up their comic collections before the year is out.
