If you're thinking about picking yourself up a PlayStation Vita, you may want to check that your internet connection is working properly. Sony has confirmed that games for the handheld will be cheaper than their retail price if purchased from the PlayStation Store.
Exact figures have not been revealed, but it has been suggested that prices could be lower by an average of 10%. For example, the US arm of retailer Best Buy is listing the DIG-PSV (digital PS Vita) edition of Uncharted: Golden Abyss at $44.99, whereas the boxed version is priced at $49.99.
Similarly, MLB 12 The Show is $35.99 at DIG-PSV and $39.99 boxed. A DIG-PSV purchase will get a redeem code to use on the PlayStation Store.
