Insomniac will not make another Resistance game

Insomniac has made a clear statement regarding their involvement with entries into the Resistance series, namely that they ""won't be making any more Resistances." Making the 7/10 Resistance 3 their last word on the series. 

The statement came from studio boss Ted Price, who went on to say that the company are now concentrated on the (EA published) four-player co-op shooter Overstrike (trailer below) and making games for their social game division, Insomniac Click.

Insomniac Click's mission is to create "deep worlds, rich stories, [and] accessible gameplay," said Price. 

“Certainly over the next couple years, we’re going to see a huge evolution in visuals in social games,” Price continued. “It’s thanks to improving technologies. It’s thanks to browsers that are getting better and more powerful. It’s thanks to development teams – core traditional game teams who are moving into the space.”
