Max Payne 3 pre-order deadline extended

Max Payne 3As a result of the delay to Max Payne 3's release date (read that story here), Rockstar is extending the availability of the pre-order 'Special Edition' of the game. You now have until 2 April to place an order, so if you still want one and missed the previous deadline of 15 January, you're in luck.

In the Special Edition (available for all release platforms), you'll get a 10" Max Payne statue (because who doesn't need one of those?) a 'series' of original still-life prints depicting some of Max's inner demons and vices and a bullet-shaped keychain. Alongside this physical stuff, the package will include codes for a 'classic multiplayer pack' of eight characters from the original Max Payne and Max Payne 2 (Mona Sax and Vladimir Lem are mentioned here) and a multiplayer weapons pack that has a Hammerhead Auto Shotgun, G9 Grenade Launcher and Molotov cocktail in it.

Plus, for the musically inclined, an official soundtrack (presumably in mp3 form). The whole shebang will set you back around $100 USD.

Max Payne 3 is now due out on 18 May for PS3 and Xbox 360, and 1 June for PC.
