New week's Gran Turismo 5 DLC includes '66 VW Beetle and Test Course

Gran Turismo 5

Most DLC is unimaginatively named, some is just downright lazy. Next week's Gran Turismo 5 content (as confirmed by Polyphony Digital, via the PlayStation Blog) falls squarely in the latter category, the first pack is entitled 'Car Pack 3' and the second 'Speed Test Course Pack'.

Both will be release on 17 January.

Six new cars are included in Car Pack 3, the coolest being the '66 Volkswagen 1200 - otherwise known as the 'Beetle'. The other five are the gorgeous Lamborghini Aventador, Jaguar XJR-9 LM, Aston Martin V12 Vantage, Nissan Leaf and Mini Cooper S Countryman.

Car Pack 3 will set you back $5.99.

As the name suggests, the Speed Test Course Packs adds a single track - the 'Route X' test circuit, a lengthy oval featuring gentle curves to allow you to test your top speed.

The Speed Test Course Pack is priced at $3.99.
