Call of Duty Elite iOS app coming tomorrow, Android next week

Call of Duty Elite - iOS App

Activision and Beachhead Studios will release the Call of Duty Elite iOS ap tomorrow, 10 January 2012, with an Android release to follow next week.

The app will provide four main functions:

  • Career Summary: Check stats and general info about yourself and those you've played with/against
  • Recent Matches: Reports on your last 10 matches - includes player scores, kill/death ratios and map info for everyone in the match
  • Customise Classes: Create and alter your classes and send them to your game ready for when you next log on
  • Challenge Tracker: View your progress in Elite challenges

If you make changes to your game using the app, you will be asked whether or not you want to apply them the when time you load up your game. Beachhead has said that one of the best functions of the app is the ability to brag to your friends (and have evidence of your achievements) wherever you are.

Beachead also reiterated their progress on Elite's PC integration, effectively saying that it will be released when it's ready.

"A PC version is definitely still a priority for the studio," said Beachhead head-honcho Chacko Sonny. "We're heads-down, working on all the stuff that we know the community wants."
