Epic Mickey 2 announced for 360, PS3 and Wii

Epic Mickey

The house of mouse has seemingly blundered its way to the announcement of Epic Mickey 2. Disney released a newsletter (which has since been amended to remove any mention of the game) stating the game's existence, including expected date and platforms.

A Christmas 2012 date was cited for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. The original 2010 game was a Wii exclusive.

The newsletter also provided a hinted as to the game's content, including a co-op option:

“In the two-player mode one person can play as Mickey wielding magic paint and paint thinner to dynamically change the world and the second player can play as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit - Walt Disney's first cartoon star - with the power to fly like a helicopter and use electricity to fight or friend enemies and solve challenges.”

Deus Ex creator Warren Spector took charge of the original. It's not known whether he is involved with the sequel.
