Alan Wake's Night Springs outed, modes revealed

A leaked screenshot reveals that the Alan Wake spin-off XBLA title will go by the name Alan Wake's Night Springs. It will feature arcade and story modes, as well as leaderboards and collectibles.

Those that have played the original game (an underappreciated gem by most - although we handed it the correct 9/10) may remember the 'Night Springs' television show that could be watched on sets placed throughout the game. The show takes the form of very short episodes and had somewhat of a Twilight Show-esque vibe about it.

Basically, it was fucking crazy, so expect some whacky happenings if the game is set within the boundaries of the show.

From the screen (below) you can also see a 'Marketplace' option. Could developers Remedy be planning on releasing extra content? It would make sense given the episodic nature of Night Springs itself...

Remedy themselves haven't been at all helpful in shedding light on the situation, their 'official' statement on the game reading: "Are you ready for the Champion of Light?"

I don't know what the Champion of Light is, so I'm probably not ready for it.

More will be revealed this Monday (7 Nov) when the first official screenshot is due to be unveiled.
