Soul Calibur V release date confirmed

North American and European editions detailed.

Namco Bandai has announced that Soul Calibur V will be coming to North America on 31 January, 2012. A European release is due shortly after on 3 February.

Also confirmed is the inclusion of Assassin's Creed's Ezio as a playable character (see pic below), a roster member that been long rumoured. Dampierre, from Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny, is also included, but only if you pre-order the title from select retailers.

Soul Calibur has a history of including characters from other franchises - Zelda's Link, God of War's Kratos and Star Wars' Yoda and Darth Vader (among others) having all appeared at some point.

A Collector's Edition will also be available. Full details on what that entails can be found here.
