But don't expect it to be easy, says From Software.
In a move sure to please those stuck in Blighttown, Sen's Fortress and Anor Londo, From Software has told IncGamers that if there's a follow up to Dark Souls it will not increase the difficulty.
"If there is a sequel to Dark Souls, I am not going to make the game more difficult," said lead game director Hidetaka Miyazaki.
Still, that doesn't mean things are going to be easy - Miyazaki clearly understanding where much of the game's appeal rests:
"I am [not] going to simply make the game easier because I believe it will make the game less appealing," Miyazaki told us. "...tuning of the difficulty level will be a very big topic when making the next game, if there is a chance [to do so]."
Dark Souls has already imbedded itself in the IncGamers Hall of Fame, having achieved only the second 10/10 review score since our humble beginnings in 2001.
Check back this weekend for our full interview with Hidetaka Miyazaki.
