It has been known for some time that a Halo movie was planned but the project has been on and off for a number of years. New information reveals that it could be finally with us next year.
In a press release for the upcoming Halo: Cryptum book written by Greg Bear, there is mention of the Halo movie which reveals that it could be with us in 2012 and will involve the creative talents of Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks.
Spielberg has been linked to a Halo movie project since August 2009 when Spielberg was apparently blown away by writer Stuart Beattie’s take on the game in his script entitled Halo: The Fall of reach.
This new information has obviously come form a press release for a related product so it could very well be incorrect but it's nice to see a mention of a Halo movie once again.
