PC gamers raging about Rage

Following the launch of Rage, PC gamers have been disappointed to discover all sorts of graphics problems.

The sad fact about PC gaming is that playing a game on day one of release can be disappointing and Rage appears to have fallen into the nasty PC bugs trap.

Since the game launched, PC gamers are reporting all kinds of problems with the graphics and frame rates including tearing and texture issues. While this is not happening for everyone, it does appear that ATI users have been hit the hardest. The Bethesda forums have been awash with complaints since the game launched, as have the Steam forums.

An AMD Catalyst Rage performance driver has been released which apparently gives significant performance gains for a single GPU configuration and this update is compatible with Radeon 5000 and 6000 series cards.

PC gamers should keep an eye on the above forums over the next couple of days for solutions and updates. Why this stuff is never fully tested before release baffles me.
