Sonic Generations looks back to the Dreamcast

Sonic Generations will feature various 're-imagined' zones from three different eras (Classic, Dreamcast and Modern) of our spiky blue hero. This trailer focuses on the Dreamcast levels.

Having never played a Sonic title on the Dreamcast, I'm no expert on how accurately these zones are being portrayed. Thanks to some helpful words imprinted on the trailer, however, I can confirm that they're supposed to be re-jigged versions of Speed Highway, City Escape and Seaside Hill (amonst others).

Take a look yourself, below.

Sonic Generations is due for Xbox 360 and PS3 release in early November.
