Rift: Ashes of History update next week

RiftThe next major update to the TRION's MMO RIFT is due for release next week.

The fifth major content and feature update, Ashes of History, will be arriving on servers next week with a whole host of new content.

This patch will include post level 50 advancement through Planar Attunements and duo dungeons called Chronicles where teams of two players can take on Greenscale’s Blight, Hammerknell, and the Chronicles of Attunement. There's also a new Warfront for PvP players called the Library of the Runemasters in Hammerknell, which opened up in the v1.4 patch.

To spice up one of the older Dungeons, TRION has also added a new Master Dungoen mode to Darkening Deeps.

Subscribers are also to be rewarded with special gear, a personal vendor and a portable mailbox.

TRION appear to be throwing just about everything into the mix in these RIFT updates, and I can't help but get the feeling that subscriber numbers could now be dropping off at a faster rate than they would like. Let's hope this latest update keeps everyone busy in-game because the more recent world events have been rather dissapointing.
