Runes of Magic gold bar competition gets underway

Runes of MagicFrogster are kicking off two weeks of competitions where there's all sorts of goodies up for grabs.

Runes of Magic players can get involved in competitions where there's a top prize of a bar of gold worth  €9,000. The competition takes place between the 28th of July and the 11th of August accross all European game servers and the player who finds the elusive gold bar drop from a monster in in the running to win a real gold bar. If you find a gold bar, hold onto it otherwise you won't be in the running to win the real gold bar.

Over the next couple of weeks, mobs will drop a black bar when killed, and once players have collected 50 of them, they can trade them with an NPC for an item package up to three times a day.

Another NPC will also supply Guild Runes and Guild Contribution Packages to help in expand guild castles.

Up for grabs alongside the main prize of a real gold bar, are a silver bar worth approximately €600, several item packages; and a ROCCAT gaming set consisting of a mouse, keyboard and headset.

More details on the event can be found here.
