ArmA II Free launches

ArmA IIHave you often wanted to play ArmA II but found the pesky problem of money getting in the way? Well, this free release might just solve that.

"What's the catch?" you're wondering. You're a wise person. Bohemia's free version of the game is missing the single player campaign (no great loss, trust me), HD graphics (more annoying) and has no support for user-made mods or addons (aww). However, it does have everything else.

That means plenty of multiplayer possibilities for serious soldiering, as well as the ability to construct custom single player scenarios at your leisure. Dedicated servers are present and correct too.

Getting hold of the client isn't an entirely simple process, but if you head through the source link below and find where it says 'Free activation' under the the little chat showing what's included with ArmA II Free you should be fine.
