Play your PSP games on your PS3 and vice versa.
As part of Konami's pre-E3 press conference, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has detailed the new 'Transfarring' system.
Transfarring is designed to improve connectivity between the PS3 and PSP by 'transfarring' game saves from one system to the other. This will allow you to play a game on the PS3, transfar it to your PSP and continue playing from where you left off on the plane, train, toilet etc. Once you're back in front of your PS3 you can transfar the save back.
The system will also be compatible with Sony's NGP once released.
The first game that will use the feature will be Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Whether or not non-Konami games will use the feature is unknown at this point.
"Up until now, gamers' lives were divided into playing at home on a console, or on a handheld when out. These styles were completely separated," Kojima said. "Now with Transfarring you'll be able to take the exact game you played on a console and put it on a handheld to continue playing on the go. Then when you get home you transfer the game back to your home console."
Transfarring... stupid name if you ask me. Which you didn't...
