The intrepid team on Diablo: IncGamers have uncovered a video which appears to be showing the 'Followers' system.
Thye video which appears to have been posted by accdent on the Korean Blizzard site was pulled offline but it was posted on YouTube after it leaked. The video shows the Enchantress, the Scoundrel and the Templar. These characters can accompany players and offer extra options to help each class so a Templar for example will be an idea tank for the Wizard.
