Alan Wake Part Deux spotted on CV

Alan WakeOnce again, LinkedIn is the source for pre-release videogame news. Social networking, this is why we put up with you.

Althea Suarez Gata is her name, Alan Wake 2 is her game. That's according to her LinkedIN profile on which she claims to have worked for Halon Entertainment on in-game cinematics for Alan Wake 2 during April 2011.

For those lacking the time to Google the name, Halon are the guys responsible for rather glitzy (and rather impressive) Halo: Reach TV spot that graced our screens last Summer.

And so, it begins. What does this mean? That Alan Wake 2 is a living, breathing work-in-progress? Yes, probably. That we're going to see a razzle-dazzle cinematic trailer for Alan Wake 2 at E3 (probably during Microsoft's press conference)? Yes, probably. That Althea Suarez Gata is going to be get told off by the powers that be for unwittingly releasing the info? Yes, probably.

I for one loved Alan Wake and have long-awaited a sequel. A game that is essentially a mash-up of Twin Peaks and Stephen King? Yes, please. I'll have that. A note to those reviewers that scored the game down for mediocre visuals, being too easy and possessing gimmicky combat: games are no longer all about graphics and gameplay mechanics.

Pathetically short rant over.
