Trackmania 2 closed beta set for July

Developers Nadeo have confirmed that a closed beta for the sequel to Trackmania will begin in July, in line with previous announcements.

To accompany this news, some new images from the game have been released. Unusually, these screenshots prove that cars can indeed fly.

As part of the Trackmania 2 closed beta, Nadeo will launch 'ManiaPlanet.' This is said to be a "networked gaming system" that will offer players access to community tools such as a map editor, plus multiplayer staples like match-making and rankings.
