Wargaming.Net reveal their World of Tanks Beta stats

World of TanksWorld of Tanks is not too far away from release now and Wargaming.Net has revealed their Beta statistics for the upcoming MMO Tank title.

Due for a full release on 12 April, World of Tanks has been recieved well by gamers. The beta test has been running for months and since it launched 700,000 players across Europe and North America took part in 5.6 million battles battering 1.7 billion shells to destroy more than 115 million tanks and artillery units. PCCU number surpassed 25,000 players. That's a lot of Tank action.

We've played around with a lot of the different tanks during the Beta but the ones that proved most popular with players have been the German PzIV, Soviet KV and American M3_Grant.

Wargaming.Net are going to reward closed beta testers who helped with the test by taking part in 1000+ battles with a M4A2E4 tank in acknowledgement of their contribution to the development of the game.

World of Tanks is doing something different from other online games right now and it looks like it could do well. Watch out for our review of the game (from the resident IncGamers' tank spod) in the coming weeks.
