TERA EU testing underway

Frogstar has selected pool of dedicated testers for their upcoming MMO TERA here in Europe and finally got testing underway.

Already out in Korea, today's European testing is the start of what will be many testing events spread over the coming weeks. This first event is set to run over four days and more players will be added to the player pool over time.

Along with the announcment today comes a few more details of the political system that is being added to the game. In TERA skilled players will have the opportunity to be elected to rule over their region and become a Vanarch. How you get to the top will be up to you but I would think that lobbing a few heads off in true dicator style won't win you any favours.

The real power comes with the ruler's ability to set taxes and acquire 'Policy Points' through questing. It will be of course be up to the ruler where the cash and points are spent among his/her loyal servants. Luxury swimming pool perhaps?

The idea behind the political system is certainly an interesting one but how it will actually play out with real players remains to be seen. I can certainly forsee many recipes for disaster, moaning and bitching.
