'Staggering' Amount Of Work Left On APB-Reloaded

APB - All Points BulletinGamersFirst has just concluded a first week of closed beta testing on APB: Reloaded, and posted a lengthy assessment of their findings.

"We have proven that the game can be resurrected," the post states. "What's scary now is the staggering amount of work that still remains ahead for the rest of the year."

In the immediate future, GamersFirst intend to send out more beta invitations ("probably" next week,) and in the mid-term focus on "improving the game progression ... improving the servers." Matchmaking and ranking issues are mentioned as features which need attention too.

GamersFirst also have a few words for players who don't seem to understand the whole concept of a closed beta. Though many are praised for their bug reports and contributions, "there are a few who clearly are NOT doing really that great." There's a reminder that the only APB: Reloaded server location at present is in Los Angeles.

"The least amount of help is pointing out that there is a lot of lag from the UK to Los Angeles. Yup - we know there is a lot of lag from the UK to Los Angeles," the article dryly states.

The post ends by noting that open beta will be a very different beast to the one people have seen and that "we have another 140,000 people to let in at some point." So if you're interested in giving the new APB a whirl, it'll probably just be a matter of waiting your turn.
