GAME taking pre-orders on used games

High-street retailer GAME has begun a trial scheme in which customers can pre-order second hand games.

Currently, eight titles are available for pre-order. These include Dragon Age 2, Homefront, Crysis 2, Shift 2: Unleashed and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12. Each pre-order copy is listed at £33.99 and are promised to be made available one week after the initial launch.

Here, for example, is the online pre-oder page for used PS3 copies of Crysis 2.

With publishers already grumbling over the state of pre-owned sales, it's unlikely that this latest venture from GAME is going to go down especially well.

Respective publishers have been contacted for comment.
