RIFT Launches in North America

General ScreenshotAfter months of testing, TRION's MMORPG RIFT has now launched in North America. For the past week pre-order customers have been busy leveling in the game but today is the real test for TRION as the game finally opens its doors to one and all.

TRION has been very careful with the amount of servers they launched last week which has unfortunately had a knock-on effect with server queues. Today TRION launched a further thirty one new servers to alleviate the load and accommodate the influx of new players.

“Rift offers the most exciting, most social, most dynamic online gameplay today,” said Lars Buttler, CEO of Trion Worlds. “Our amazing development team has created an incredibly polished and complete MMORPG that carefully builds upon and then improves winning features that gamers love. Those features are then topped off with unprecedented freedom of choice and epic social events in an ever-evolving world of dynamic conflict.”

If you are joining the game today, head over to RIFT: IncGamers to catch up on the latest RIFT news, developments and player guides.

The game launches this Friday here in the UK and watch out for our full review soon.
