The next piece of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood DLC will have you searching for Leonardo Da Vinci in an 8-mission single player campaign, and adds a bunch of multiplayer stuff too.
As you'll hear in the trailer (below,) this DLC is introduced with a fine exchange of expositionary dialogue: "Leonardo!" "... they took him." This means Ezio is going to have to set out on a "relentless quest" to find Da Vinci before somebody can write horrible books about his code.
That's the single-player aspect. For multiplayer, The Da Vinci Disappearance adds a new map (Alhambra, in Spain,) four new characters (Dama Rossa, the Knight, the Marquis and the Pariah) and two fresh gameplay modes - Escort and Assassinate.
In Escort mode, two teams of four have to protect a VIP target, while Assassinate is a pretty simple deathmatch type affair.
The Da Vinci Disappearance will be available from "the beginning of March" on Xbox 360/PS3, and will lift $10.00 USD (800 MS Points) from your virtual wallet. There's no word yet on which pieces of DLC will be making their way to the forthcoming PC port.
