Deadwood's David Milch To Adapt Heavy Rain For Big Screen

The writer David Milch, creative mind behind "NYPD Blue", "Deadwood" and (more recently) HBOs "Luck," has signed up to adapt Heavy Rain for a film release.

The PS3 title was very well-received here at IncGamers back in February of last year, with Andy being particularly impressed by the innovative 'wipe a baby's arse' scene. We can only hope that Milch will be able to bring his trademark intensity to that moment. And also to the rest of the 'Origami Killer' tale.

Variety confirms that the film will be produced through Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne's Unique Features company, and developed with Warner Bros.

It's early days in the production process, so there's no proposed release date or many further details about the project at present.
