Polyphony Digital boss Kaznunori Yamauchi is to offer fans an upgrade to the standard cars in Gran Turisomo 5, bringing more detailed visuals and an interior view to the gameplay.
Currently, GT5 includes over 1,000 cars but only around 200 are classed as ‘Premium’ models, which boast higher poly counts, smoother design and modeled interiors.
Yamauchi has told Japanese magazine Famitsu that, along with many other updates to the game, he also hopes to upgrade more of the standard vehicles up to Premium level.
No date was given for the upgrade, but he did say he expects tweaks to GT5 to continue arriving well into next year.
