Fallout: New Vegas Patch Available For PS3 - Due Next Week For PC/360

Fallout: New VegasBethesda's blog has news about the 'comprehensive' Fallout: New Vegas patch (version 1.02,) stating that it is now available for North American and European PS3 users.

Xbox LIVE and Steam should have it "early next week." There was some talk of PC users getting it as early as yesterday, but that has not come to pass.

Judging by the fix list (recreated below,) it seems 1.02 will mend ... err ... quite a few things. In fact looking at this list, it seems some kind of miracle that I was able to play the game with no problems at all.

Anyway, here's what's been changed:

Top fixes:

  • Companions now show up as waypoints on the map
  • Companions will always fast travel with you, unless told to wait or sent away
  • Fix: DLC error/save corruption
  • Fix: Entering the strip after Debt Collector causes crash and autosave corruption
  • Fix: Using Mojave Express dropbox can cause DLC warnings
