Microsoft To Keep Halo Wars Online

Following a public outcry, Microsoft has changed its mind to take down Halo Wars official website confirming it will now be around for the ‘foreseeable future’.

Last month Microsoft announced it was to can halowars.com bringing an end to the forums and online stat-tracking.

But following its decision to keep the site, Microsoft issued a statement: “After seeing the reaction and passion from 'Halo Wars' fans as well as 'Halo' FPS fans who were concerned about the future of other 'Halo' titles, we determined that the previously stated plan of action was not in line with our intended plan of loyal support for 'Halo' games.

"The Halo Wars and Halo Waypoint forums will still be merged," the company added. "But other than that, nothing changes. Keep playing Halo Wars and keep checking your stats on HaloWars.com!

"If and when the location of accessing your stats changes, we will let you know at that point in time."
