Polyphony has released a new patch for Gran Turismo 5, bringing new mechanical damage settings to the game.
The boss of the acclaimed developer Kaz Yamauchi said the update would address fan concerns with the game’s controversial mechanical damage system, which was previously unlocked with in-game experience.
According to initial reports, control over damage levels is limited to online modes.
The 150mb Mb update gives players three levels to choose from, including ‘None’, ‘Light’ and ‘Heavy’.
The update comes ahead of the GT 5 patch, which is due at the end of the month and is predicted to allow save data back-ups.
