Total War: Shogun 2, Music Diary

Shogun 2 ImageFans of Shogun: Total War will recall that the music of Jeff van Dyck played a huge part in making the game feel authentic.

Van Dyck is returning as composer for Total War: Shogun 2, and in this video talks a little about recording some of the Taiko tracks in the game. An Australian group named TaikOz were recruited for the task and spent several days in Sydney rehearsing and recording the music that will appear in the game.

It's estimated that 70-80 minutes of music will appear in Total War: Shogun 2, which should be enough Taiko drumming to keep even the most somnambulant general alert and enthused.

If you're someone who loved the original Shogun soundtrack, this is definitely worth a watch.
